Former World No.2 Pulls out of US Open and Ends 2023 Season Because of Damage

Paula Badosa has pulled out of the US Open and referred to as it quits on her 2023 season. The former World No.2 introduced the information on Saturday, saying that the ache has compelled her to make this troublesome determination.

“After struggling for many months to compete again, I am ending my season, she posted on X. “Those of you who know me know how much I like to compete and how difficult it has been to make this decision. We have tried everything together with my team but the pain is not letting me move forward.”


Currently ranked 47, Badosa has not performed since Wimbledon.

She had pulled out of Roland-Garros earlier this season with a spinal fracture, which she suffered in Rome in May. .

Originally slated to face Venus Williams in spherical one; Williams will now face Belgian qualifier Greet Minnen.
