Musk reveals new black-and-white X emblem to interchange Twitter’s blue chook

LONDON (AP) — Elon Musk has unveiled a brand new black-and-white “X” emblem to interchange Twitter’s well-known blue chook as he follows via with a serious rebranding of the social media platform he purchased for $44 billion final 12 months.

Musk changed his personal Twitter icon with a white X on a black background and posted an image on Monday of the design projected on Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters.

The X began showing on the highest of the desktop model of Twitter on Monday, however the chook was nonetheless dominant throughout the telephone app.



Musk had requested followers for emblem concepts and selected one, which he described as minimalist Art Deco, saying it “certainly will be refined.”

“And soon we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds,” Musk tweeted Sunday.

The billionaire is CEO of rocket firm Space Exploration Technologies Corp., generally often called SpaceX. And in 1999, he based a startup referred to as X.com, a web based monetary providers firm now often called PayPal.

The X.com net area now redirects customers to Twitter.com, Musk mentioned.

In response to questions on what tweets could be referred to as when the rebranding is completed, Musk mentioned they’d be referred to as Xs.
