D.C. homicide suspect escapes police custody at George Washington Hospital

D.C. police stated Wednesday a person accused of homicide in a lethal capturing close to the waterfront escaped police custody at a metropolis hospital.

Metropolitan Police stated Christopher Haynes, 31, fled from officers on the George Washington Hospital shortly earlier than 3:40 p.m. Wednesday.

The suspect is described as a Black man with shoulder-length dreadlocks. He was final seen carrying a white swimsuit with one crimson shoe.



Police stated he isn’t handcuffed.

Anyone who spots the suspect is urged to name 911 instantly.

Police stated Mr. Haynes was one of many three individuals arrested in a single day and charged with first-degree homicide in reference to Tuesday’s deadly capturing at a house within the 200 block of M Street Southwest.

Assistant Chief Carlos Heraud stated Tuesday that officers arrived on the scene and located one sufferer who was mortally wounded and one who wanted remedy for non-life-threatening accidents.

A short while later, Chief Heraud stated one other three victims turned up at an area hospital for remedy of non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

He stated that it appeared all 5 of those that have been injured by gunfire knew one another “in some way, shape or form.”
