ST. LOUIS — Embattled St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner introduced Thursday that she is going to resign amid calls from Republican leaders for her ouster.
In a letter to Republican Gov. Mike Parson launched by Gardner’s workplace, she mentioned she is going to step apart efficient June 1.
Gardner is the town’s first Black prosecutor and a Democrat. Republican Attorney General Andrew Bailey took authorized steps to take away her from workplace in February, alleging negligence.
