A Florida girl who spent her life financial savings on breast most cancers remedy for her daughter gained $2m (£1.6m) the day after she completed hospital care.
Geraldine Gimblet claimed the highest prize in a $2m scratch card lottery. But when she went to purchase the cardboard, the store assistant advised her they did not have any left.
“I asked him to double check because I like the crossword games the best. He found the last one!” she advised Florida lottery officers in an account they revealed in a information launch.
Her daughter Lawrencina Jackson described the fortuitous timing. “The day before my mom bought this ticket, I rang the bell and walked out of the hospital after completing my last treatment for breast cancer,” she stated.

Ms Gimblet advised ABC’s Good Morning America placing her financial savings in direction of her daughter’s most cancers remedy was a simple resolution.
“I really didn’t think about it. I just did what I had to do,” she stated.
Ms Gimblet was joined by her daughter and granddaughter when she collected the winnings.
