New York teenagers arrested for killing and consuming a swan, stealing chicken’s infants

Police in upstate New York charged three teenagers Tuesday with killing and consuming a town-owned swan and kidnapping the useless chicken’s 4 infants.

Manlius police mentioned the teenagers — ages 16, 17 and 18 — hopped the fence on the Manlius Swan Pond round 3 a.m. Saturday and went on to carry down Faye, the swan, and kill her. She was later cooked and eaten by the teenagers, who advised police they have been out searching.

“The mother swan was consumed,” Manlius Mayor Paul Whorrall mentioned at a press convention Wednesday. “Sad to say, but that’s what they did.”

Police mentioned they have been advised in regards to the 4 lacking child swans, or cygnets, when a citizen noticed two of them at a retailer within the close by city of Salina. A teen employee on the retailer confessed to kidnapping the cygnets. The different two swans have been discovered on the Syracuse dwelling of one of many suspects. 

The three teenagers have been charged with grand larceny and legal mischief, in keeping with police.

Eman Hussan, the 18-year-old charged, was arraigned and launched on his personal recognizance. He’s scheduled again in courtroom June 15.

Mr. Hussan does have a searching license, which is being seemed into by the state’s Department of Environmental Conservation.
