Zeus, the world’s tallest canine, has died aged three, Guinness World Records says

Zeus, the world’s tallest male canine, has died from problems following therapy for bone most cancers, Guinness World Records has stated.

The Great Dane, who stood at one metre tall, was awarded the title in 2022. He was three years outdated and would have turned 4 in November.

He died from pneumonia following surgical procedure to take away his entrance proper leg after his most cancers was found by vets.

He handed away within the early hours of Tuesday, together with his head in his “loving owner Brittany’s lap”, Donnie Davis, Brittany’s father, stated.

Brittany, from Bedford, Texas, stated on Guinness World Records’ web site: “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved canine, Zeus, the Guinness World Records title holder for the tallest dwelling male canine. Zeus died Tuesday morning of amputation-related pneumonia.

“Zeus was a truly special dog. He was gentle, loving, very stubborn but always happy to see his family and many, many friends on his adventures around Dallas & Fort Worth.

“Zeus packed a variety of life into three brief years and was primed to beat most cancers’s butt.

“Zeus had the absolute best doctors and nurses working around the clock to help him, but in the end, he was just too sick.”

Brittany arrange a fundraising marketing campaign to get him the very best therapy after his sickness was found.

Zeus, who was “very laid back”, Brittany stated, was a present from her brother, at eight weeks outdated.

She had all the time needed a Great Dane.
