TACOMA, Wash. — Two males have pleaded responsible to vandalizing energy substations in Washington state in assaults that left 1000's with out energy on Christmas Day.

Jeremy Crahan, of Puyallup, admitted Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Tacoma that he and Matthew Greenwood conspired to chop electrical energy with a purpose to break into ATM machines and companies and steal cash, Acting U.S. Attorney Tessa M. Gorman mentioned in a information launch.

According to the plea settlement, Crahan, 40, and Greenwood, 32, broken 4 energy substations on Dec. 25, 2022. The substations focused have been the Graham and Elk Plain substations operated by Tacoma Power and the Kapowsin and Hemlock substations operated by Puget Sound Energy.
