Atlanta Braves star proper fielder Ronald Acuna Jr. was confronted by a pair of followers who ran onto Denver’s Coors Field throughout Monday’s sport.

The incident occurred in the course of the seventh inning shortly after the Braves scored 4 within the high of the inning to take a 9-4 lead over the Colorado Rockies.

As one of many followers gave Acuna a hug, safety tried to pry him off — just for the second fan to dash as much as the throng and be tackled himself by extra safety personnel. Acuna was knocked over. Neither of the 2 followers was recognized. 

A fan in attendance named Billy Grossman caught the fracas on digital camera and posted the footage to X.

Acuna was not injured within the scrum and remained in proper subject because the Braves went on to attain 5 extra runs to win 14-4.

“I was a little scared at first,” he stated after the sport by means of an interpreter, in accordance with The Associated Press. “I think the fans were out there and asking for pictures. I really couldn’t say anything because at that point security was already there and we were already kind of tangled up, but security was able to get there and everything’s OK.”

Braves teammate Kevin Pillar stated, “I don’t think they had any ill intentions; I think that was pretty evident early on. … Thankfully, they weren’t there to do any harm. You just never know during those situations what people’s intentions were. Luckily, they were just extreme fans of Ronnie.”

Acuna, a front-runner for National League Most Valuable Player, turned the primary participant to steal 60 bases since 2017 and have become the fourth participant ever to hit 20-plus homers and steal that many bases in a single season.
