Captain America star Chris Evans has married the actress Alba Baptista in a ceremony at their dwelling in Massachusetts, based on reviews within the US.

Evans, 42, and Baptista, 26, married in an intimate ceremony on Saturday, Page Six reviews.

An insider advised the movie star information website the marriage was "locked down tight" as visitors signed NDAs and telephones had been forfeited.

The visitor checklist reportedly included a few of Evans' co-stars from the Marvel franchise, together with Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth and Jeremy Renner.

The Avengers star and the Luso-Brazilian actress, who stars within the Netflix collection Warrior Nun, first sparked romance rumours in November when reviews emerged they'd been courting for "over a year".
