Cillian Murphy and the makers of Peaky Blinders have stated they "strongly disapprove" of the usage of clips from the present being utilized in a video shared by supporters of Ron DeSantis' US presidential marketing campaign.

A press release launched on behalf of creator Steven Knight, Murphy and the present's manufacturing firms stated the footage used was obtained "without permission or official licence".
