The Democrat introduced Wednesday that he examined optimistic for COVID-19 and reluctantly needed to postpone his one-week “Walk Across Connecticut.”

“Argh. I was super excited to start my annual Walk Across Connecticut today, but I started getting some mild COVID symptoms last night. I tested this morning and I’m positive,” Murphy wrote on X, previously referred to as Twitter. “Will reschedule the walk for later this year. So bummed.”

Murphy, 50, started his annual stroll in 2016 as a technique to go to off-the-beaten path locations and listen to from constituents.

Last 12 months, he walked 69 miles by way of 14 cities over 4 days, strolling about 15 to twenty miles a day. Connecticut is about 110 miles large, from east to west.
