CHICAGO (AP) - The Chicago Cubs positioned infielder Patrick Wisdom on the 10-day injured listing on Saturday with a proper wrist sprain.

Manager David Ross stated Wisdom has been coping with the problem for about two weeks. But he aggravated the damage when he was taking part in left discipline on Friday and tried to make a diving catch on Anthony Santander’s leadoff double within the sixth inning of a 10-3 win over Baltimore.

“How serious? I don’t think it’s surgery,” Ross stated, “but it definitely needs some medicine and some downtime.”
