NEW YORK — Daniil Medvedev ended Carlos Alcaraz’s reign because the U.S. Open champion by eliminating him within the semifinals 7-6 (3), 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 on Friday evening to arrange a rematch within the ultimate towards Novak Djokovic.
