Rep. Jerrold Nadler, the highest Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, stated President Biden “has done nothing wrong” in response to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy asserting an impeachment inquiry.

“House Republicans have not found a shred of evidence to suggest otherwise,” Mr. Nadler stated in an announcement. “Speaker McCarthy may get to keep his job for another day, but he has once again caved to the most extreme elements of the Republican party.”

Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer informed reporters Tuesday that the impeachment inquiry “is absurd” and that he's “disappointed.”

The New York Democrat stated he had “sympathy” for Mr. McCarthy as a result of he was in a “difficult position.”

Mr. Schumer stated that he wouldn’t let the inquiry cease the Senate from conserving the federal government open.

Sen. John Fetterman, Pennsylvania Democrat, responded sarcastically to a query about what he thought in regards to the inquiry: “Oh my God really, oh my gosh, you know, oh, it’s devastating,” he stated animatedly. “Don’t do it, please don’t do it, oh no, oh no.”
