The Biden administration has introduced a renewed deportation amnesty for Ukrainians who've reached the U.S., giving almost 200,000 folks 18 extra months of tentative authorized standing and work authorization.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas stated the continued battle with Russia has created a humanitarian disaster that Ukrainians shouldn’t be pressured to return to.

So he flexed his powers to grant them what’s often called Temporary Protected Status.

“We will continue to offer our support to Ukrainian nationals through this temporary form of humanitarian relief,” he stated.
