A 65-year-old D.C. man was discovered responsible Thursday of armed theft and felony threats for utilizing a bomb menace to rob a District financial institution in final October.

Mark Stubblefield walked right into a Truist financial institution final Oct. 20 at 1369 Connecticut Avenue NW whereas disguised.

Stubblefield then demanded $10,000, and threatened to make use of an explosive to explode the tellers if his calls for weren't met. Within two minutes, the tellers had complied, and Stubblefield left. 

The Justice Department didn't say what Stubblefield was armed with in the course of the theft.

After leaving the financial institution, Stubblefield received on a bus and donned a D.C. Department of Transportation uniform. The Justice Department didn't specify whether or not Stubblefield was ever an worker of the company.
