DORSET, Vt. (AP) - A driver accused of inflicting a crash that killed Treat Williams knew the actor and thought of him a pal however denied wrongdoing and stated costs will not be warranted.

Ryan Koss, the managing artistic director of the Dorset Theatre Festival in Vermont, stated he knew Williams for years as a member of the tight-knit group, in addition to a fellow theater member. He stated he was devastated by Williams’ demise and provided his “sincerest condolences” to the actor’s household. “I considered him a friend,” Koss stated.

Koss, 35, of Dorset, issued a press release Friday night, three days after being issued a quotation for grossly negligent operation inflicting demise. He was ordered to look in courtroom in September to be formally charged.
