Pop star Dua Lipa is being sued over claims she was by no means given permission to incorporate a musician's "talk box" recording in her mega-hit Levitating.
Music producer Bosko Kante claims three remixes of the British singer's observe featured his recording which infringed his copyright.
He believes he's entitled to greater than $20m (£15.7m) in revenue from the tracks and has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles.
Kante cites an alleged spoken settlement that solely the part of the recording he created along with his smartwatch could possibly be used within the music's unique recording.
He says he created the ElectroSpit Talk Box - a tool worn across the neck and related to a telephone or synthesiser that may flip vocal vibrations into instrument-like noises.
On his web site, Kante states he has performed the Talk Box on tracks by the likes of Kanye West and rapper J Cole.
Music producer Stephen Kozmeniuk approached Kante in 2019 about making a Talk Box observe for Levitating, the lawsuit says.
It provides they verbally agreed to a licence stipulating that the recording might solely be used on the unique music and never on remixes.
Kante alleges Lipa reused his work with out permission on remixes by DJ The Blessed Madonna, one with rapper DaBaby and one other that Lipa carried out dwell.

Third lawsuit over Levitating
Kante's case is the third such lawsuit introduced towards Lipa and her observe Levitating.
Artikal Sound System, a reggae band in Florida, introduced a lawsuit towards the singer in March 2022, alleging the music copied the hook of their 2017 observe Live Your Life.
The case was dismissed in June.
In one other case which is ongoing, songwriters L Russell Brown and Sandy Linzer allege Lipa used their melody from the 1979 sing Wiggle And Giggle All Night.
