PHILADELPHIA — A spectator fell over a protecting railing and into the Red Sox bullpen within the high of the primary inning of Boston’s sport towards Philadelphia at Citizens Bank Park on Friday evening.

There was no fast phrase on the fan’s situation after he tumbled one stage from an open concourse into the Boston bullpen in right-center area.

Masataka Yoshida, Boston’s second batter, was dealing with Philadelphia’s Zack Wheeler when Phillies reliever José Alvarado ran from the bullpen into the outfield. Medical personnel shortly ran out to the second stage of the bullpen as Red Sox relievers regarded on close by.

Security personnel instantly cleared followers from the railing in Ashburn Alley, which sits near the visiting bullpen, as medical personnel attended to the fan, who was carrying a Phillies jersey.

The spectator was strapped to a backboard and brought from the bullpen and area on a stretcher and a cart.

NBC Sports Philadelphia reported that the spectator fell after attempting to retrieve a ball that had been tossed to followers and landed right into a flower mattress on the base of the railing.

The sport resumed after a couple of 10-minute delay.
