CHICAGO — Adam Frazier and Jorge Mateo every hit an RBI single throughout Baltimore’s three-run sixth inning, and the Orioles cooled off the Chicago Cubs with a 6-3 win on Sunday.
Anthony Santander homered for Baltimore, and Ramón Urías drove in two runs. Austin Hays had three of the workforce’s 14 hits.
The Orioles had gained six of seven once they arrived in Chicago. But they dropped the primary two of the weekend sequence by a mixed rating of 13-5.
Baltimore right-hander Dean Kremer (8-3) struck out seven whereas working 5 innings of three-run ball. Félix Bautista pitched an ideal ninth for his nineteenth save in 23 probabilities.
Chicago had gained a season-high 5 straight. Mike Tauchman and Christopher Morel homered for the Cubs, who completed with three hits.
