MANCHESTER, England — Gordon McQueen, a defender who performed for Manchester United, Leeds and Scotland’s nationwide workforce, has died. He was 70.

McQueen’s dying was introduced Thursday through a press release from his household launched by Man United.

McQueen was identified with vascular dementia in 2021.

“We hope that as-well as creating many great football memories he’ll be remembered most for his character,” his household mentioned. “Our home was at all times filled with mates, household & soccer simply because it was in his previous couple of months as he fought so bravely in what turned a really merciless battle towards dementia.
