Grass is the one Grand Slam floor that grows and dies through the course of a event.

Victoria Azarenka attributes her grass development to accepting change.

The Nineteenth-seeded Azarenka breezed by eight straight video games dismissing Nadia Podoroska 6-3, 6-0 to advance to the Wimbledon third spherical.

Though the two-time Australian Open champion concedes grass is not her finest floor, she's says adjusting on the fly to the funky bounces and unpredictability of grass has been key to her success this week.

"I don't think that grass is my favorite surface, but also, I feel like there is not enough time for you to kind of adapt and really fall in love personally for me with grass," Azarenka stated. "I think that the challenge that I find throughout every year that everywhere we go, grass is very different.

"You must play completely different. You cannot actually play the identical approach. You come right here, the grass is totally completely different than any tournaments prior."

Azarenka says the SW19 lawn is even quicker this year which makes adapting even more important.

"I really feel like additionally the courts are altering from 12 months to 12 months," Azarenka said. "I do really feel like this 12 months the courts are quite a bit quicker than earlier years, quite a bit decrease bounce, extra skidding.

Aiming for her first Wimbledon fourth spherical look since 2017, Azarenka will meet Daria Kasatkina subsequent.
