Some would say his paintings is sweet sufficient to eat - or maybe this was only a case of forbidden fruit.

But Maurizio Cattelan grew to become the sufferer of his personal creative greatness over the weekend after a hungry South Korean scholar ate a banana that was a part of certainly one of his artwork installations.

The paintings, referred to as Comedian, was a part of Mr Cattelan's exhibition WE at Seoul's Leeum Museum of Art, and consisted of a ripe banana duct-taped to a wall.

Feeling peckish, artwork scholar Noh Huyn-soo, from Seoul National University, ripped the banana from the wall upon his go to to the museum, earlier than devouring it as a snack in entrance of shocked onlookers.

He then taped the peel again onto the wall, with the museum later changing it with a contemporary banana.
