Petra Kvitova will miss this 12 months’s Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome attributable to a foot harm. The Czech, a latest title winner at Miami, introduced the information on social media on Saturday.

“Unfortunately my right foot is still causing me pain so, after consulting my team, I have made the difficult decision to withdraw from Rome,” she wrote on Twitter. “I will miss the beautiful site, the Italian fans and wish the tournament a great week. I’ll work hard to be ready for the French Open.”

33-year-old Kvitova received 9 of ten matches throughout Indian Wells and Miami, and claimed the title in Miami by defeating Elena Rubakina in a dramatic ultimate, 7-6(14), 6-2.
