Celebrating within the pit lane, Norris stated: "About time! What a race. It's been a long time coming.
"Finally I've managed to do it. I'm so comfortable I've delivered for the crew. I'm lastly on high. I'm over the moon."
Donald Trump visited the McLaren storage forward of the race and the previous US president spoke to Norris after his victory.
