Six individuals together with a police officer had been transported to hospital, Louisville Metro Police Deputy Chief Paul Humphrey stated.

The suspected shooter is useless, he added.

Officers who arrived on the scene "encountered active gunshots still being fired inside the location at that time," Mr Humphrey stated.
