OJAI, Calif. (AP) — A average earthquake shook a big swath of Southern California on Sunday simply hours after a tropical storm got here ashore bringing torrential rain.
The 5.1-magnitude quake struck at 2:41 p.m. about 4 miles (7 kilometers) southeast of the mountain group of Ojai, about 80 miles (130 kilometers) northwest of downtown Los Angeles, in line with the U.S. Geological Survey.
It was felt extensively throughout the area and bookended by smaller foreshocks and aftershocks, the USGS mentioned.
There had been no rapid stories of main injury or harm, in line with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
