A Maryland state jail inmate was charged Friday with first-degree homicide within the May 27 demise of his cellmate.

Personnel on the Jessup Correctional Institute found Nicholas Delfosse, 27, unresponsive with a number of accidents at round 4:30 p.m. on May 27. He would later be pronounced lifeless on the scene.

Further investigation and post-mortem decided that Delfosse had been stabbed a number of occasions, inflicting his demise. His cellmate, Daniel Myers, 26, has now been charged with first-degree homicide.

Mr. Myers has since been transferred to the North Branch Correctional Institute in Cumberland, Maryland, pending trial.

Maryland State Police didn't say what different crimes Mr. Myers was in jail for on the time of the incident. Delfosse was in jail for housebreaking, in accordance to WTOP-FM.
