A girl in Romulus, Michigan, had an odd reptilian encounter this week when she noticed an alligator wandering round outdoors close to her again patio.

The Romulus Police Department recounted the saga in a pair of Facebook posts. The girl referred to as police, uncertain if the reptile was an alligator or crocodile — after which offered a photograph to police once they had been skeptical. 

The picture, reposted by RPD, reveals the small reptile with its mouth sure out on the girl’s again patio. Police withheld her identify, tackle and the date of the incident on her request.

A publish on Facebook from Animal Magic in Belleville, Michigan, the non-profit animal rescue that helped RPD corral the reptile, stated the encounter occurred on Sunday.
