Police in Los Angeles mentioned a horde of shoplifters made off with hundreds of {dollars} in designer items Saturday after the group ransacked an upscale shopping center.

Authorities mentioned a mob of 30 to 50 thieves descended on the Nordstrom retailer on the Westfield Topanga shopping center round 4:15 p.m. Saturday.

The thieves snatched garments, luggage and different items earlier than they ran off. Two safety guards who confronted the shoplifters had been shot with bear spray, police mentioned.
