One individual has died and two individuals are lacking after a small boat incident within the Channel, the French coastguard has confirmed.

A press release from the organisation stated the French navy had carried out 4 rescue operations on Wednesday, utilizing boats and a helicopter, aiding round 180 individuals.

But one individual rescued was unable to be resuscitated and two individuals have but to be discovered within the water.
