NEW YORK — A parking storage a minimum of partially collapsed Tuesday in decrease Manhattan’s Financial District, based on metropolis officers and bystander video displaying vehicles hanging precariously from a buckled higher deck. It wasn’t instantly clear whether or not anybody was injured.
The collapse occurred within the late afternoon at a parking construction on Ann Street, about half a mile (0.8 km) from the New York Stock Exchange.
Emergency responders and buildings officers converged on the scene, with police urging pedestrians to filter out. New York Mayor Eric Adams was en route, stated spokesperson Fabien Levy. He described what occurred as a partial collapse.
