New York City police are trying to find a hate crime suspect after surveillance video captured a person defecating on a LGBTQ satisfaction flag exterior of a Manhattan restaurant earlier this month.

Video shared with the New York Post confirmed the suspect relieving himself on a flag he positioned on the bottom within the out of doors patio space of Buceo 95’s on April 15. The man then drew a smiley face within the pile of waste, in line with the Post, and used a second satisfaction flag to wipe himself.  

The man left the realm instantly afterward. No one was bodily harm throughout the incident.  

“It’s definitely a punch to the gut,” common supervisor Nathan Nolen Edwards instructed the newspaper. “We certainly haven’t experienced anything to this degree. A defecation on a pride flag is not the norm here.”

Restaurant proprietor Courtney Barroll additionally mentioned the incident “angered me that people in this world have such hatred for others that they could do something so awful and so vile.”
