Bypassed for a bye, Elena Rybakina stated goodbye to Tokyo.
The 2022 Wimbledon champion withdrew from this week's Toray Pan Pacific Open citing sickness.

The withdrawal comes a few days after Rybakina ripped the WTA for its trial of efficiency byes in Tokyo.

Under conventional guidelines, Rybakina would have acquired a first-round bye in Tokyo.
However, as a result of WTA trialing "performance byes" she was bumped from her first-round bye in favor of Guadalajra champion Maria Sakkari and WTA Finals champion Caroline Garcia, who reached the semifinals in Guadalajara.

Of course, each issues will be true: Rybakina might be each unwell and upset by shedding out on a bye or maybe she's simply sick and bored with the disrespect she's acquired regardless of profitable Wimbledon final yr and reaching the Australian Open closing final January.
