Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell had one other episode of freezing up whereas answering questions from reporters in Kentucky on Wednesday.

A reporter had requested about his reelection plans when Mr. McConnell paused for greater than 30 seconds, earlier than an aide got here as much as him and requested, “Did you hear the question, senator?”

He continued to not reply the query, when an aide stepped in as soon as extra and stated he may want a minute. Once Mr. McConnell reengaged, his aides wanted to repeatedly step in and repeat questions on the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Government Forum.

This is the second time the 81-year-old Kentucky Republican has frozen and simply stopped talking. He beforehand stopped talking throughout a Capitol Hill press convention final month.
