A South Carolina man is accused of wielding a plastic pistol, used with the 1985 Nintendo Entertainment System recreation “Duck Hunt,” to rob a Kwik Stop retailer.

The weapons labored akin to these in arcade capturing video games, letting customers line up their photographs in “Duck Hunt” and different Nintendo gun contests.

Suspect David Dalesandro, 25, of Sharon, South Carolina, went into the Kwik Stop within the city at round 5:45 p.m. Tuesday. 

Witnesses informed the York County Sheriff’s Department that Mr. Dalesandro was sporting a hooded sweatshirt, a masks and a wig — presumably to cover the blue-dyed hair seen in his mugshot. 

Mr. Dalesandro is accused of brandishing the spray-painted NES Zapper as if it had been a gun and demanding cash from the money register. The clerk handed over $300, and Mr. Dalesandro left.

Sheriff’s deputies intercepted Mr. Dalesandro shortly afterward, discovering him within the parking zone of a Dollar General down the road from the Kwik Stop. Deputies discovered the NES Zapper and arrested Mr. Dalesandro.

Mr. Dalesandro has been charged with armed theft with a lethal weapon, sporting a masks and petty larceny involving lower than $2,000.
