MADRID (AP) — The gamers in Spain’s girls’s soccer league have referred to as off a strike after reaching a deal to extend minimal wage, the league and unions mentioned Thursday.
The first set of video games was not performed final weekend due to the strike, however the second block of matches will now go forward as scheduled.
The minimal wage for the ladies’s league till now was 16,000 euros ($17,100), in comparison with 182,000 euros ($195,000) for the lads’s league.
The new deal will enhance the minimal wage for the ladies’s league to 21,000 euros ($22,500) this season, with that sum rising to 23,500 euros ($25,200) by 2025. It may go even increased relying on income.
Last season, of 334 gamers, 80 gamers made lower than 20,000 euros ($21,400) per 12 months, whereas the typical wage was about 40,000 euros ($42,900), in accordance with the league.
