In an interview with Piers Morgan Uncensored this week, Kyrgios stated he is "very thankful" to former world No. 1 Murray for providing support throughout his psychological well being struggles and detecting the 2022 Wimbledon finalist was self-harming.

"Andy was always a big supporter of me," Kyrgios informed Piers Morgan throughout his Uncensored interview on Talk TV. "As soon as I came on the tour, he kind of saw a work-in-progress and took me under his wing.
"Then he realized later in my profession that I do not assume I used to be coachable or I used to be alone path, however he was at all times somebody that was searching for me."
Kyrgios, who revealed he "genuinely contemplated suicide" and spent time in psychiatric treatment, said he's grateful Murray noticed the signs of self harm on his arm, asked the Aussie about it and alerted the Aussie's manager, John Morris, to the issue, according to The Times.
"[Murray] noticed it [the self-harm] and he stated, 'What's that in your arm?' It was fairly dangerous at that stage," Kyrgios said. "Andy clearly was attempting to present me recommendation on it. But I used to be simply so caught in my methods at the moment that I did not pay attention. Obviously I'm very grateful. I thank him so much."
The 2022 Australian Open doubles champion stated his despair deepened to the purpose "I hated myself. I hated waking up and being Nick Kyrgios."
"I think it was all a year-and-a-half to two years of just complete harm," Kyrgios informed Piers Morgan. "It was pretty dark to be honest."

"He form of felt like he was, like, 20. He was a bit bit immature at instances. He was so pleasant, humble, down-to-earth. Just a traditional man."
