Jada Pinkett Smith has revealed she has been separated from husband Will Smith since 2016.
The actress, 52, stated in an interview with Sky News' US accomplice community NBC News that the couple are "figuring out" their marriage.
She stated the couple are nonetheless legally married however dwelling individually.
"[We're] still trying to figure out between the two of us how to be in partnership and how do we present that to people? We hadn't figured that out.
"Why it fractured? That's plenty of issues. I feel by the point we obtained to 2016, we have been too exhausted with making an attempt.
"I think we were both stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be."
She informed NBC presenter Hoda Kotb that she thought-about getting a divorce however didn't undergo with it.

"The degree of affection, unconditional love that they've for me and their dad. And it is one factor to need to be the individual that offers that unconditional love. And then there's, to be the recipient of that."
Pinkett Smith additionally revealed within the People interview she thought the Oscars slap in 2022 was a skit at first.
There have been shockwaves throughout Hollywood when her husband hit Chris Rock on stage on reside tv after the comic made a joke about Jada's shaved head.
"I thought, 'this is a skit'.

"Ayahuasca helped me, it gave me a new intimate relationship with myself that I had never had before," she added.
She stated the primary time she took the drug, "the suicidal thoughts completely went away".
The interviews come as Pinkett Smith embarks on a publicity tour for her new guide.
