16 building employees killed in India as crane collapses whereas new bridge is constructed

At least 16 building employees had been killed and several other others feared trapped after a crane collapsed in the course of the constructing of a bridge in India.

Footage confirmed the mangled stays of the tools on the bottom as rescue employees pulled out our bodies and looked for survivors on the website in Shahapur – about 50 miles (80km) from Mumbai within the western state of Maharashtra.

Numerous injured have been taken to hospital.

India’s Prime Minster Narendra Modi expressed his condolences in a message on X, the social media platform previously often called Twitter.

His workplace stated in a publish: “Pained by the tragic mishap in Shahapur, Maharashtra.

“My deepest condolences to the households of those that misplaced their lives.”

His authorities introduced reduction help of 200,000 rupees (£1,894) for the households of the lifeless and 50,000 rupees (£474) for the injured.
