A search operation was launched on Tuesday afternoon at Fountainstown Beach, close to Crosshaven, in County Cork.
The alert was raised at round 4.40pm after stories the kid had entered the water.
Irish police stated the physique was faraway from the water at round 7.45pm and the lady was pronounced lifeless.
In a press release, Gardai stated: “A search and rescue operation at Fountainstown Beach, close to Crosshaven, County Cork, has been stood down following the restoration of the physique of a feminine baby this night.
“A search and rescue operation was launched involving the Coast Guard, RNLI, Fire Services, Customs, Mallow River Rescue and Garda Units from Crosshaven and Carrigaline Garda stations.
