China: Dozens of crocodiles escape farm as officers warn residents to remain indoors

More than 70 crocodiles have escaped from a farm in southern China after rainstorms hit the area.

Residents in Maoming, a metropolis close to the coast in western Guangdong province, have been advised to remain inside till the animals are caught.

An emergency official stated that 69 grownup crocodiles and 6 juveniles had escaped.

Some have been captured however the operation is being hampered by the depth of the lake they’re in.

Further west, seven individuals died and three are lacking after a number of landslides within the metropolis of Yulin within the Guangxi area.

The official Xinhua News Agency stated the landslides have been attributable to heavy rain on Sunday and Monday.
