Judge rejects Alec Baldwin’s request to dismiss cost over Rust capturing

A decide has rejected a request by Alec Baldwin to dismiss his legal cost regarding the deadly capturing on the set of Rust.

Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer upheld an indictment charging Baldwin with one rely of involuntary manslaughter within the loss of life of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42, in 2021.

The New Mexico decide rejected defence arguments that prosecutors flouted the foundations of grand jury proceedings to divert consideration away from exculpatory proof and witnesses.

Prosecutors denied the accusations and mentioned Baldwin made “shameless” makes an attempt to flee culpability, highlighting contradictions in his statements to regulation enforcement, to office security regulators, and in a tv interview.

Baldwin has pleaded not responsible to the cost, which carries a most sentence of 18 months in jail.

His attorneys mentioned after Friday’s judgement: “We look forward to our day in court.”

The 66-year-old’s trial has been scheduled to begin in July.
