A 14-year-old boy and his stepfather have died in Texas after they went on a hike in excessive warmth the place temperatures reached 48.3C (119F).
The unnamed teenager misplaced his life after he fell unwell and have become unconscious within the scorching circumstances, whereas the 31-year-old man died in a automotive crash as he tried to get assist.
The tragedy occurred on the Marufo Vega Trail in Big Bend National Park the place the pair had been climbing together with the boy’s 21-year-old brother.

The stepfather, from Florida, was declared lifeless on the scene, whereas the older brother was unharmed within the tragedy.

The nationwide park service has warned the Marufo Vega Trail was “dangerous” in the course of the warmth and suggested guests to keep away from climbing alongside the path within the afternoon.
It mentioned: “The Marufo Vega Trail winds through extremely rugged desert and rocky cliffs within the hottest part of Big Bend National Park.
“No shade or water makes this strenuous path harmful to aim within the warmth of summer time.”
A climate warning has been issued for hikers by the park service as temperatures soar.
It mentioned: “Temperatures reach over 110+ every day along the Rio Grande and throughout the desert areas of Big Bend.
“These are extraordinarily harmful/lethal temperatures! Hikers needs to be off trails within the afternoon. Stay hydrated. Limit your publicity.”
The causes of their deaths weren’t instantly identified.
